Greetings,Shabba! Kudos on a GREAT day at the AUTOCROSS for You and ALL the rest of the WWR Team...Wished I could have been there...I'll make it one day! About the compressor: For the price they are asking,I personally believe it will do all that you would expect a 3h.p. compressor to do.The c.f.m. delivery is well within the range for a 20 gallon (approximately) receiver tank and the horse power rating is right up there with all of the popular models on the market today. It is a "positive displacement",piston driven cylinder head, which I widely prefer over a diaphragm type. Don't forget air hose and quick-disconnect couplings. I typically use (2) 50' hoses so that when I need a long run of hose, I just couple them together. If I'm not working that far away, then I'll only use one.In your case, the unit is mobile,so you'll probably be able to get away with just one hose as long as you're near an electrical receptacle.I also would recommend 1/4" i.d. hose as opposed to the larger i.d. 3/8" hose.Although the 3/8" hose will deliver MORE air per minute, the 1/4" hose is MUCH more manageable in terms of general handling and ease of maneuverability; especially when you are lying on your back and DON"T NEED the hose to get tangled UNDERNEATH YOU! Harbor Freight will try to entice you to buy an optional Extended Warranty at additional cost...That might not be a bad thing considering that it covers anything that might go wrong during the extended warranty period . I REALLY like the fact that it is -for the most part- genuinely portable...Great feature! Just one thing thing I want to point out: The product literature says it is wired for 220 volts A.C. ...Do you have provisions for that in your garage? If not, P.M. me and we can chat about it. Well, that's my two scheckles on this compressor. If I needed to get another for utility purposes, I don't think I would hesitate to pick this one . See 'Ya 'round Race Headquarters,Shabba! Best Regards, Sixpack

i agree^^ that compressor should be fine for running some air tools. you just have to make sure you have the 220v outlet needed.
